I was telling you this morning about Google Phone, the new mobile terminal from Google, I will not repeat the story, I will only make a few small additions and I will add 2 new pictures that appeared in the meantime. It seems that Google employees had little time to play with the phone, it was discovered that it has a 5 megapixel camera, the screen is as "sensitive" as the iPhone's, as I said yesterday, it is the same as fast as an iPhone and that its name could be changed to Nexus One, a name that has been circulating since the first rumors about Google Phone. Practically people say that it is a iPhone with a bigger phone and a scroll wheel.
Google employees are very happy with the phone (it's made by their company, it seems normal to me, it must sell well) and I see this whole thing as a marketing strategy by Google. They only gave the phones to the employees to arouse the interest of IT publications and websites, which happened, and it seems to me a very effective and extremely inexpensive strategy. Google has always had inventive people, so far they haven't made a mistake.
Seeing the new pictures, I change my opinion a little about the design, the phone looks quite ok, and that screen, if it really is as sensitive as an iPhone, will make a big difference for those who are thinking - and purchase a smartphone in the period after the launch. I just hope that those from Apple will also think about introducing a similar one, in size and quality of course.
