Mirror's Edge preview

IMG_0063-300x200 6 days ago will present the latest game trailer Mirror's Edge for iPhone/iPod Touch developed by the famous company EA Games. Yesterday the game reached the hands of a few people specially selected by the company to do some reviews of the game before its official launch next month. From the first impressions the game seems to be one of the best ports of a console game on the iPhone ever made. We explain that the central story of the game takes place somewhere in the future where a totalitarian regime rules the USA, and a group of rebels transports important information throughout the city "flying" from one roof to another, followed by the secret services of the state, and your character is one of the rebels, named Faith.

The control is very simple and is based on swipes along the screen: swipe on the left/right side of the screen makes your character run in that direction, swipe up results in a jump and swipe down has the effect slide under obstacles. The same swipe gestures can be used to knock down enemies, either by knocking them down by hitting their legs or using jump kicks, given that that's not all, in the spirit of the game, interaction using the same games is also possible with billboards, power lines, or even wall running.

One thing that has changed completely is the First Person View, which, unlike the version for consoles or PC, has been transformed into a 3D view and this was a very well thought out thing, because the iPhone does not benefit from the same peripherals as the PC /console and sometimes even with these accessories the missions became annoyingly difficult due to it, and on the iPhone it would have become practically impossible to finish.

In the end, the game seems to be very interesting and I hope that EA Games does not spoil anything until the moment of release.
