You remember iVideoCamera, the first application that brings the option of filming on iPhone 2G/3G without the need for jailbreak? Well, since its launch, a new application has appeared, iVidCamera, which does a little better than its predecessor. Unlike the first application which was limited to only 3-5 frames per second and a resolution of 160×213, iVidCamera allows filming with 3-7 frames per second at a resolution of 280×360, and by removing the sound the framerate increases even above these values, moreover, the movies are saved in the phone in MP4 format.
Another very essential element that this application allows is unlimited filming, unlike the first application that limits the filming time to only 1 single minute, but like its predecessor, it requires at least firmware 3.1 to be installed and work.
Although the application costs €1.59 and can be downloaded from here, the developers thought of launching a free application that can be downloaded from here, the only difference between the two being that the free version also includes some banners.
So, if you have a 2G/3G iPhone and you want to be able to film with it but you don't want to jailbreak it, this is the perfect application for you.
