It seems like tonight someone managed to crash the baseband IPhone and practically found the exploit that will lead to the next unlock of baseband 05.12.01 or of the future ones if there will not be one for the one from 3.1.3 firmware.
I know that at first glance it may sound like a lie, but that person sent the order to MuscleNerd from the Dev Team and this to congratulated for discovery, so the exploit is good, it exists and can be used by the Dev Team for the next unlock! Will the Dev Team use this exploit before the release of the new iPhone? Hard to believe and this because decoding the new firmware is much more important than decoding firmware 3.1.3 or 3.2.
The good part is that we have a safety net and if they don't release the exploit until iPhone OS 4.0, we know for sure that at least then we will be able to use the new firmware quietly.
