F0recast – check if your iPhone/iPod Touch can be jailbroken/decoded

I was telling you a few days ago about F0recast, program that will give you the opportunity to iPhone your can be jailbroken/decoded or if the iPod Touch can be jailbroken, and today iH8sn0w, the man behind the project, posted on his Twitter the first screenshot with the application.

As you can see, the application checks the serial, baseband and model of the phone to tell you if the phone is compatible with any jailbreak/decoding software, and this because with the release 3.1.3 firmware iPhone 3GS it can only be jailbroken with a custom ipsw, and baseband 05.12.01 from firmware 3.1.3 cannot be decoded at the moment.

According to iH8sn0w, the application is in the last phase of development and we will most likely see a final version this week.

I've said it and I'll say it again, it's probably the most useful iPhone/iPod Touch app made lately and I hope it does its job properly because it would help a lot of people figure out what they can/can't do with their phone.
