TomTom, one of the largest manufacturers of equipment and software GPS, from the world, also entered the field of applications for iPhone has just announced that in the last 3 months it has sold no less than 100.000 thousand applications through AppStore.
Don't think that they have such cheap applications that everyone would afford the navigation applications from TomTom they have prices between 50 and over 100€ and despite all that, the company managed to sell a lot of applications in just 3 months. Making a small calculation in the 3 months TomTom sold applications worth approximately $7.500.000 and that's only for the applications from AppStore, the data for TomTom the car kit that is sold separately has not yet arrived.
They really have a very successful software and the sales confirm this, the only big disadvantage for us Romanians is the fact that our country is still not properly covered by anyone and it will probably be many years before detailed maps with all the roads appear from Romania.
