New controls for iPad/iPhone

iPhone OS 3.2 beta 4 SDK was released Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), for developers 2 days ago and as we are already used to searching for hidden news in SDK they revealed news that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), is going to implement them or maybe has already implemented them in 3.2 firmware for iPad.

This time the news refers to gestures that we can do in iPhone OS, and by gestures I mean actions like zoom in/zoom out when you want to see a picture/page in the browser in larger sizes or pressing for 2 seconds on an icon to be able to delete a certain application from the phone. In the beta 4 a iPhone SDK 3.2 2 new gestures were found: pressing 3 times consecutively on the phone screen (3 Tap) and long pressing on the phone screen (Longpress) and these gestures are not found in iPhone OS 3.1 and it remains to be seen if we will see them on the iPad with its launch.

I already told you that it is very possible that iPhone OS 3.2 not to be compatible with iPhone / iPod Touch so these 2 new functions could be implemented either in iPhone OS 4.0 or only in the fall when it is estimated to be released iPhone OS 4.1 and the 2 firmware versions will be combined into one compatible with all iDeviceCPCs.
