300.000 iPads sold in the US, but Europe could wait longer

We also have the first official sales data iPad in the USA, Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), announced today through a press release that on April 3rd he sold no less than 300.000 iPads, including pre-orders, a figure that represents half of the initial sales estimates iPad. The company from Cupertino announced that users of iPad have downloaded almost 1 million applications from AppStore and not less than 250.000 iBooks, impressive figures for a single day, but it is understandable considering that all those who bought an iPad were very satisfied with their purchase.

Apple® today announced that it sold over 300,000 iPads in the US as of midnight Saturday, April 3. These sales included deliveries of pre-ordered iPads to customers, deliveries to channel partners and sales at Apple Retail Stores. Apple also announced that iPad users downloaded over one million apps from Apple's App Store and over 250,000 ebooks from its iBookstore during the first day.

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), announced that the version 3G a iPad will be available at the end of April, when version WiFi only/3G will be available in other countries, but there are some data which could upset the plans of Europeans who are waiting to buy a iPad. From what it seems, the Swiss operator Swisscom has removed from the official page any reference to iPad and when they were asked what led them to do this, they stated that they are no longer sure Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will deliver the products to them on the set date and is waiting for new information from the company in Cupertino.

We are not certain anymore that Apple will deliver us and we're waiting for further details

It wouldn't be the first time Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), they would have problems with stocks, but it would be the first time they would miss a deadline, I personally doubt this, but you must also consider this possibility if you expect to buy a iPad from Europe.
