Goodbye flash on iPhone

Today Mike Chanbers, Principal Product Manager at Adobe, announced officially as Adobe give up any kind of programs for making intended applications iPhone OS, the main reason being the measure taken by Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), to block acceptance in AppStore of certain applications ported from other platforms in iPhone OS.

Adobe launched recipe Creative Suite 5, a suite of applications for developers working in flash and among the recently launched applications is Packager for iPhone, a program through which developers could port applications in the programming language used in iPhone OS to be able to send applications for acceptance in AppStore. Given that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), decided to block any applications made through this process, Adobe decided not to invest money in a dead direction so that we ordinary users have the most to lose and if until now you can still hope that you will see flash pe iPhone OS well with this decision we can clearly say that using iPhone we will see that until now only 50% of the internet (a purely accidental estimate).

We believe that Apple treads hand with licensing terms for applications created with Flash CS5. Developers must be prepared to remove existing content and applications (100+ on the store today) created with Flash CS5 from the iTunes Store. Developers should be prepared to remove existing content and applications (100+ stores now on) created in Flash CS5 from the iTunes Store. We will provide the possibility of betting on iPhone and iPad in Flash CS5, however, we do not currently use other resources in your feature. Provide the possibility to aim for iPhone and iPad Flash CS5, but we do not count currently employ other resources in this feature.

Mike Chambers also wanted to specify that Adobe will focus its efforts to improve the platform flash so that users of mobile terminals equipped with operating systems Android/Maemo/Windows/Symbian to have the best experience while surfing the Internet.

What do you say about this initiative? It will change the position of those from Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), or we will continue to see the eternal blue square instead of the content flash?
