Spirit, comex's jailbreak solution, will untethered jailbreak iDevices regardless of their bootrom, that's what it sounds like ANNOUNCEMENT made today by MuscleNerd on his official Twitter account.
So no matter what bootrom Apple decides to introduce in the new terminals, this solution will be able to jailbreak because its application method does not take into account the bootrom of the terminal so that to block the jailbreak Apple will have to find another method to- and secure the terminals.
Under these conditions, the release of Spirit now, 2 months before the iPhone HD could mean that the future iPhone can be jailbroken using the same method because I doubt that Apple will be able to find and apply a new security solution in such a short time shortly before the launch.
