The kit for connecting an external camera to iPad it probably has more uses than most would have imagined, at least that's what an enthusiast by name proves Max Shay who connected an external hard drive to his tablet iPad using a usb cable with 2 outputs, a laptop to power the hdd and another device.
It looks like a tablet iPad it does not have enough power to power an external hdd and therefore a separate power source is needed, but overall the whole assembly is quite large and not very useful in most cases. All transfers are made through SSH so you need a tablet iPad jailbroken otherwise you can't do anything, so think carefully if such a montage is useful for you or not.
