WWDC is approaching and iH8sn0w "feels" that Apple could release a GM version of iPhone OS 4.0 a few days before the official keynote presentation of iPhone OS 4.0 and iPhone 4G/HD that will take place on June 7. Although it is probably not based on real information, a release of a GM version of iPhone OS 4.0 is expected soon.
For those who still don't know, the GM (Gold Master) version of iPhone OS is basically the final version of iPhone OS, but this GM version is released about a week before the official release of a new version of iPhone OS to give developers the opportunity to to prepare their applications for the new OS. Last year, the GM version of iPhone OS 3.0 was released one day before the official presentation of iPhone OS 3.0 and iPhone 3GS, and 9 days before the official release of iPhone OS 3.0 on June 17.
Considering that there are only 5 days left until WWDC, it is very possible that the GM version of iPhone OS 4.0 will appear this weekend and the final version about a week after that. However, it is possible that Apple will not release any GM version and launch the software directly, we will see what will happen these days.
