From today we can search for applications directly in Google

Place Google a announced on the official blog that it has implemented a new feature in its search engine, so that starting today users in the US can search for their favorite applications with the Google search engine and will be able to access their download link directly from Google searches.

So that US users can go to google.com and write "download shazam" (the example in the picture), and Google will provide them with links to download the application, read reviews and find out the price of the application. The new option was implemented both for the applications in the AppStore and for those in the Android Market, but Google decided to limit the availability of this new feature only for the USA at the moment, and it will be implemented for other countries soon.

To be honest, it's a very good idea, there are probably a lot of searches like this on Google and the results offered to users were far from relevant, it remains to be seen how the search engine will deal with displaying the desired information for each individual application.
