As you well know, Apple introduced a form of multitasking in the new iOS 4.0 and application developers are starting to update their applications to be compatible with the most important functions of iOS 4.0. The clip above represents a demonstration of the Navigon 1.6 navigation application using multitasking and fast app switching to remain open in the background when a call is received while using the application. Notice that the application starts to give indications about the road to be taken and these indications keep coming even if the conversation is open and when it ends the application is automatically opened and continues to give indications as if nothing had closed.
Navigon is only the first of the navigation applications that will have these functions, I know that many of you complained that when they received a phone call the application closed and they had to restart the whole process of calculating the route from the beginning, well now the problem was solved and all you have to do is wait for the update of your navigation applications to benefit from these functions and of course install iOS 4.0 on your iPhone.
