Video: Resistance test for iPhone 4 with Bumper

Apple praises the Bumper accessory as a method of protection for the iPhone 4, mainly to protect it from scratches when you put it on the table/desk, but especially to protect the front and back in case of falls. In the video clip above you have a demonstration of the fact that the Bumper is not quite as good as Apple wants to believe because it fails to protect the phone as it should.

As usual, the phone resists the first 2 hits, but on the third the screen cracks, something common for iPhone 4 and quite acceptable for a touchscreen mobile phone screen. Some say that the iPhone 3G/3GS screen is more resistant and does not crack so easily, and I agree with them, the iPhone 4 screen is much more fragile, although Apple says it is 30% more resistant.

What do you think?
