The Dev Team has advised all iPhone/iPod Touch users to save their SHSHs for iOS 4.0 because Coming Soon it will be impossible to save them because the release of iOS 4.1 is expected. iOS 4.1 beta is available for developers since last night, so Apple has started the countdown until the release of iOS 4.1, which will most likely take place in August or maybe even in July.
Saving SHSHs is only necessary for iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3G and iPhone 4 so hurry to save these files to be able to jailbreak iOS 4.0 when the jailbreak solution from the Dev Team will be available.
You can save the SHSH for iOS 4.0 with the help of TinyUmbrella and you can find a tutorial here. I did not manage to save SHSH for iOS 4.0 in Cydia with TinyUmbrella, otherwise Cydia does not show me that I have SHSH for iOS 4.0 saved, however I managed to save on PC so I recommend you to save on PC as well.
