Will Apple increase the production of iPad and iPhone 4 terminals to meet the demand?

Yesterday Apple presented the financial situation of the company after the first 6 months of this year and among others Apple officials were ask in relation to the production problems that Apple has. Ever since March, Apple has been struggling to produce enough iPad tablets to meet market demand, and since June, the iPhone 4 has joined the race, and Apple is still making efforts to increase its monthly production capacity for both the iPad and and for iPhone 4. In relation to these problems, Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, was asked, and his answer left many puzzled because the official stated that at the moment Apple is not sure that it will be able to increase its production to satisfy the request.

"Currently we are still selling both of those products as fast as we can make them," Cook said. "So we are still quoting longer lead times than we'd like, and we're working around the clock to try to get supply/demand in balance. In the scheme of things, it's a good problem to have."

At Friday's conference, Steve Jobs said that Apple will increase production capacity for the iPhone 4 from August to meet demand, but now Tim Cook tells us that he is not sure that Apple will be able to increase production enough for to satisfy the request. Apple was accused of the fact that this stock crisis would be just a marketing move to increase sales, but the problems are actually with the suppliers of components for the products, because they fail to produce as quickly as Apple needs.
