My3G allows you to use FaceTime over 3G

My3G is an application similar to 3G Unrestrictor and fulfills the same functionality, i.e. it gives you the possibility to use applications through the 3G data network that normally work only through WiFi. My3G was updated today to version 4.1 and the main novelty is the fact that using this application you can make FaceTime calls through your operator's 3G data network. Maybe some of you will be happy to hear this news, but from my point of view the function is rather useless, and the answer to the question "why?" you have it in this article.

Telephone operators still do not offer speeds good enough to maintain the video quality of FaceTime calls, Apple knows this and that is why there is the WiFi only limitation. Unfortunately, I don't think the operators will make changes to the data networks to bring higher speeds, so don't be too happy that you can use FaceTime via WiFi.

The My3G application can be purchased from Cydia for $2.79.

UPDATED : Those from 9to5Mac they made a video demonstrating how FaceTime works via 3G. It works much better than in the video clip from this morning's article.
