Yxflash is an application available in Cydia that allows you to watch video clips on your terminals, but unlike the native iPod application, it also allows you to play video formats other than the .mp4 standard. Yxflash was updated today and the new version 3.0.3 brings compatibility with iPhone 4, solves the problems with the .wmw format, but improves the performance of the application when playing a movie. Yxflash player can play the following video formats: Xvid / DivX, WMV, .Avi and .mp4, but to be able to see a movie you must first copy it to the phone in the directory / var / mobile / media /.
Yxflash can be downloaded for free from Cydia. I have used Yxflash player quite a few times, but I have never been able to watch a movie without interruptions/judges. I don't know why, but even on the 3GS, the movie still freezes from time to time.
