Last week chpwn wrote an article on his personal blog in which he explains to all those who asked him to update the ProSwitcher application to be compatible with iOS 4 why he will not do so. This decision was based on 2 things: the lack of time to work on the Proswitcher application, which is quite complicated, and the fact that, from its point of view, Apple has integrated into iOS a much better multitasking system than the one offered by Backgrounder + Proswitcher.
Today Multifl0w was updated to be compatible with iOS 4, and chpwn also decided to update its application for iOS 4, so this week the new version of ProSwitcher will be released. Proswitcher, like Multifl0w, allows you to manage applications open in the background through a dynamic task manager, identical to the one shown in the picture above. The 2 applications are not perfect, but they are an alternative to consider if you don't like multitasking in iOS.
