Cydia - a useful application or a necessary evil?

Cydia is definitely one of the most installed applications for iOS, even though it is not officially found in the AppStore, and Apple did not want and will never want to accept it in the virtual application store. Cydia is the first application installed during the jailbreak process and if we go by the number of people who have jailbroken, then we can conclude that at the moment Cydia is on approximately 10 million terminals running iOS. Although it is an application without which decoding a phone or installing an application not supported by Apple is impossible, is Cydia still a useful application or simply a necessary evil?

For me, for example, Cydia is a source of nerves and this is due to the way it was made. Cydia loads information very hard, and this thing is so annoying that I ended up opening Cydia once every 2 days or only if I need to check an application. saurik cannot solve the problem, so Cydia will continue to be a source of nerves for many. I tried the patch that blocks the loading of packages but it doesn't work, I tried this tweak but the problem remains, Cydia is hard to load.

Besides the fact that it is difficult to load, Cydia is a source of incompatibilities through the prism of the applications available in it. Most of them are poorly made and conflict with others, so installing an application/patch from Cydia could definitely lead you to a recovery loop and the need for a restore. The most recent scam of this kind has in the foreground a jailbroken iPhone 4 on www.jailbreakme.com which after the reset does not want to enter the system.

If I could I would give up Cydia, but for now there are no other methods to install applications not accepted by Apple. By unsupported I mean those that are not found in the AppStore and NOT those that are pirated.

What do you think about Cydia?
