Video: iPhone 4 "loses signal" but the effect on the connection is minimal

Yesterday I also got into possession of an iPhone 4 and, among other things, I thought to check if the coverage of the "sensitive area" leads to the decrease of the signal and implicitly to the termination of the call or the blocking of the Internet connection. The situation is as follows: on EDGE, the signal drops by just one dash, no matter how many minutes I cover the respective area; on 3G, the signal drops instantly and switches from 3G mode to EDGE mode, but calls are not interrupted, and when it comes to the Internet, the signal drops to just a dash, but it remains connected on 3G and does not switch to EDGE, but it seems to load the pages a little harder .

I noticed the signal loss both by testing an Orange card and by testing a 3Italia card with roaming activated and connected to Cosmote's 3G network. The problem with the decrease of the signal bars exists, but in reality it has no impact on the quality/continuity of the conversation or on the continuity of the use of the data network.
