iPhone 4 – a week later

A week ago I did one review for my new iPhone 4, but I still owe a few additions that I will make today. In terms of performance, the iPhone 4 is faster than the iPhone 3GS in absolutely all respects: loading web pages, opening applications, working in Cydia, taking pictures, installing applications, connecting to satellites, etc. As far as connectivity is concerned, there are no big differences between them because here everything depends on the operator's network and unfortunately with Orange, I did not manage to pass the 3.1 Mbps barrier on the iPhone 4. A very disturbing thing about the iPhone 4 is the weight it does (although sometimes it doesn't succeed) change the network from 3G to EDGE and it's slow with which it gets its access data for the Internet, sometimes needing almost 1 minute to be ready to surf.

The Camera application in the iPhone 4 works hard sometimes and closing it is almost always followed by a small lag, anyway the iPhone 4 takes pictures faster than the iPhone 3GS. All in all, I maintain my opinion that it is worth switching from iPhone 3GS to iPhone 4, but you have to take into account the fact that even iPhone 4 does not run iOS 4.x flawlessly. The battery autonomy is good, I can say that that 40% increase is real, but if you don't manage to install various "nonsense" from Cydia such as "Activator" or "mobilesubstrate" because I did it without wanting to and from their installation decreased the battery life.

Orange will soon bring you the iPhone 4, and I recommend you to switch from an older iPhone model to the new iPhone 4.
