Those from Sony Ericsson started to get inventive and have developed the first digital remote control for terminals equipped with the Android operating system. We are talking here about LiveView™, a 1.3-inch OLED screen through which we can control various applications available on our smartphone running Android. This accessory connects to the phone through a special application and allows the display of some information from the applications installed on the smartphone but also the execution of some commands: turning on/off the music player, reading an RSS feed, sending an SMS, viewing the Facebook account, but that's not all because the device will be compatible with many other applications from the Android Market.
LiveView™ will be compatible not only with Sony Ericsson smartphones but with any smartphone running at least Android 2.0, and this is a very smart move considering that Sony's terminals have not been very successful. The device is the size of an iPod Nano and resembles the gadget from Apple, but it has many more functions and if it had been released by Apple it would have been a resounding success.
