Bill Gates banned Apple products in his home

Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft and one of the richest people in the world, is certainly the main supporter of his company's products. He is such an ardent supporter that he banned Apple products in his home, the whole family being obliged to use Microsoft products if they want a gadget with similar characteristics to those from Apple. The rumors that said that Bill Gates would use a Mac are false, his wife does not have an iPod but a Zune Player and when the children ask for an iPod he tells them that they can get a Zune Player. The rivalry between the 2 companies is very big and it seems that Bill Gates does not want to compromise his public image in any way, not even because of his family. Here is what the wife of Bill Gates answered in one intervened awarded to the New York Times:

Do you own an iPod, which is made by Apple?
No, I have a Zune.

What if one of your children says, "Mom, I have to have an iPod?"
I have gotten that argument — "You may have a Zune."

Do you have an iPad?
Or course not.

Is it true that Bill works on an Apple laptop?
False. Nothing crosses the threshold of our doorstep.

Isn't there room in this world for both Apple and Microsoft?
Microsoft certainly makes products for the Macintosh. Go talk to Bill.

I don't know if Steve Jobs imposed such restrictions on his family, but I find it hard to believe that he would do such a thing.
