2 days ago I initiated one drill through which we try to find out how many of those who visit this site buy applications from the AppStore and what amount of money they allocate monthly for the purchase of these applications. The result, so far, of the survey says that: 64% of voters do not buy applications from the AppStore, 26% spend between 1 - 10€ per month on applications, 7% spend between 10 - 30€, 2% over 50€ and 1% between 30 - 50€. Up to the time of writing this article, a little over 400 votes have been registered, so a rather eloquent number considering the size of the iPhone community in Romania.
To be honest, I expected the number of those who purchase applications to be quite small, and looking through comments I noticed, what many already know, that Romanians prefer to get applications from alternative sources and not from the AppStore. Probably in a few years, when Romania should reach at least the "knee" of civilized countries, we will have the mentality and money necessary to purchase everything we want from the AppStore.
