Adobe is preparing a new version of flash for the MacBook Air

Adobe has been repeatedly attacked for the way its flash player, so widely used on the Internet, works, but it seems that recent information about the fact that the MacBook Air loses a third of its battery life once flash is installed and used have "set in motion" those from Adobe who are now working on a new beta version of flash. Adobe's CEO stated today in a conference that Adobe's engineering teams are currently testing the new version of flash to check whether the problem related to excessive consumption can be solved or not.

It seems that Adobe will opt for improving the hardware acceleration through graphics cards because this seems to be the only method by which the processor can be "unloaded" by the additional load.

When we have access to hardware acceleration, we've proven that Flash has equal or better performance on every platform.
