Will Apple offer free MobileMe services?

Lately, there has been more and more speculation about the fact that Apple could offer some MobileMe services for free for iDevices owners. Everything a on from the fact that in iOS 4.2 information was found indicating that Apple could allow logging into the MobileMe account using an Apple ID or even registering a new MobileMe account using the same Apple ID. In the last 2 versions of iOS GM, a new framework was discovered, called Accounts.framework, which lists several error messages related to certain iDevices and the fact that the respective terminals cannot create a free MobileMe account.

These messages are not found in iOS 4.1, so it is possible that with the release of iOS 4.2 Apple will have a little surprise prepared for iDevices users. However, don't think too much because it seems that in another part of iOS there are restrictions for certain Apple IDs, restrictions that prevent those IDs from registering an e-mail account on MobileMe. If Apple decides to block the access of some users to the e-mail system offered by MobileMe, there is still another suite of very useful options that I would at least like to have for free: Find My iPhone, iDisk, Contact/Calendar/Safari /Notes over-the-air sync and Photo Galleries.

"This Apple ID cannot be used for MobileMe Mail, but you can use it for other MobileMe services."

So, what do you think, will Apple give us MobileMe for free?
