Is Apple investing in voice recognition technologies, soon on the iPhone?

In the video clip above we have Steve Wozniac, the co-founder of Apple, who speaks about a recent acquisition by Apple and the possible improvement of the voice recognition system on iDevices. In this clip filmed 5 days ago, Steve Wozniac reveals the fact that Apple would have acquired the company Nuance, which deals with the development of voice recognition software. Nuance is valued at more than $5 billion, but Apple currently has approximately $50 billion available for acquisitions, so the move is not at all surprising.

Android already has a system of voice recognition very well done and Apple should think very seriously about improving the existing one in iOS until the release of iOS 5, otherwise this is a rather important chapter where the iPhone will be far behind. Of course, an improvement of the voice command recognition system will not mean much for us (Romanians) because the Voice Control function in the iPhone requires saying the words as correctly and clearly as possible and the Romanian language unfortunately remains "unknown" for Apple.

So, I would like to be able to start any application by simply saying its name, I would like to be able to open a web page by simply saying the address/etc. Will you?
