It was more than obvious that HTC will at some point produce a tablet that will compete with the already famous iPad. HTC Desire was the first truly competitive HTC smartphone, but unfortunately the 2nd version of the device was not up to the iPhone 4 terminal, so now we are all waiting for a tablet from them. The information about this new tablet comes from a request for the registration of the name HTC Scribe as a trademark, application submitted by the company in the USA.
To be honest, I like the name and I might also be attracted to their future tablet because HTC have generally been quite well anchored in reality and have produced interesting smartphones. I assume that the tablet is getting close to the final version considering that they have already registered this name as a brand so it is possible that we will see a prototype next month at CES.
