Sherif Hashim published on his Twitter account a video clip in which he demonstrates an untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1 on an iPad tablet and an iPhone 4. Notice in the video clip that he opens Cydia and shows that he has SHSHs for iOS 4.2 beta 3 so I'm not sure that this video clip would represent a demonstration of the untethered jailbreak solution for everyone. However, it would appear from his tweet that this demonstration is really for the untethered jailbreak solution that comex is working on and that will work for all iDevices owners regardless of whether they have SHSH for iOS 4.2 beta 3 or not.

The decoding solution for iPhone 4 will be available in the near future, of course after the jailbreak (regardless of what it will be), but theoretically it should appear by January 16, 2011. Otherwise, it remains to be seen what the Dev Team will decide about because it is very possible that in February/March we will see a new version of iOS published by Apple.
