Am spoken about the new multitouch gestures of the iPad tablet, but the time has come to present them. iOS 4.3 brings the most interesting changes among all iOS versions, except of course 4.0, and iPad tablet users are once again spoiled with functions that were not even supposed to come. The new gestures introduced by Apple for the iPad tablet IMPOSE using 4 or 5 fingers to operate them and they have the following functionality:

  • 4 fingers - swype left/right among the applications open in the background;
  • 4 fingers - swype up to open the task switcher with applications open in the background;
  • 5 fingers - swype to exit the Home Menu from any application - replaces the functionality of the Home button.

So we have 3 new gestures that make a big difference in terms of the functionality of the iPad tablet. Practically using these gestures we will be able to use the screen for any actions and the Home button will remain there only to reset the device or enter it into Recovery/DFU Mode. My opinion is that this will be the first step taken by Apple to permanently remove the Home button from iDevices, but first it is "testing" the field and waiting for user feedback, and so far it has been positive.
