David Rice, former security officer of the US Navy employed as a director at Apple

David Rice, former US Navy cryptology security officer, he was hired by Apple within the international division that deals with the implementation of security measures in iOS. David Rice is a graduate of the American Naval Academy, he got his master's degree in the field of information security, he was part of a team of NSA (National Security Agency) analysts that deals with detecting vulnerabilities in global information networks and of course former US Navy cryptology officer. Rice is renowned in the field of information security due to his background in American security agencies and will now work in a division of Apple that deals with security issues.

With iPhones and iPads penetrating the enterprise in ever more impressive numbers, companies want to know they're secure.

Late last year Apple started working with Unisys to help it sell Apple products to corporations and government agencies, all of which are concerned about the security implications of iPhones and iPads running on their networks.

It is assumed that Rice was hired by Apple because the company is trying to win as many customers as possible from the corporate field but also from the American government agencies and security is one of the main key points that this type of customers look at when purchasing iDevices . iDevices are not recognized as the most secure devices in the world, but Apple is constantly working on new security methods and as they develop, jailbreak and decoding solutions will become more and more difficult to implement.
