We all know that iDevices are made for surfing the web and not only that, we all know that an iPhone, iPod Touch or an iPad tablet needs the Internet to be used to its true value, but this freedom has a price . Unfortunately, in Romania, the offers of mobile phone operators are rather poor in terms of the traffic included in internet browsing subscriptions, and an application that monitors all your internet activity is welcome.
DataMan is one of the best applications that allow users to record all the traffic they do either through the 3G/EDGE data network or through the Wi-Fi network. Dataman remembers all your internet connections and lists them separately by hours, days, weeks and months so that you always know what traffic you made and how you made it. However, the options in DataMan do not stop here because the application allows you to connect to the GPS to save on the map the location from which you connected to the Internet so that you know exactly where you made that traffic. By accessing the History tab, you will have a menu in front of you that will allow you to check the logs of your connections for any day, after installing the application.
In addition to the statistics on the traffic consumed, DataMan has several interesting functions that allow: setting the date when your subscription options are renewed, setting a daily, weekly and monthly traffic quota, plus 2 options for checking the traffic consumed and for geotagging DataMan connections allows the establishment of a daily traffic quota and a percentage of that quota at which the user will be notified in relation to the traffic consumed. Unfortunately, the application checks the traffic once every 10 minutes and warns you only at intervals of at least 10 minutes, so you still have to be careful how much traffic you do.
The application is available in the AppStore in 2 versions: a Lite one si a full one which costs €1.59.
