Google is not satisfied with the sales in the Android Market, it is making major changes

There are over 200.000 applications in the Android Market, but Google and the developers of Android applications are dissatisfied with the sales generated by the store so far. Google has received many requests to implement changes in the Android Market and here it is, the company will make some changes major in the following period. Google removed the system that allowed testing applications for 24 hours, but will implement a system of in-app purchases that will allow application developers to sell different bonuses or add-ons through the applications available in the Android Market.

In addition to the application purchase system, Google will also implement a system that will allow customers to purchase applications from the Android market and pay for them in their phone bill. Google negotiates with certain mobile phone operators to sell applications through them. The customer will enter the Android Market, select the desired applications, buy them, but pay their price only when the bill from the mobile phone operator arrives. It is a complicated method for Google, which will have to share its profit with the operators, but it is much easier for customers to purchase something without using a card. I believe that this change will greatly increase the sales of the applications because it is simple and within the reach of anyone.

Google will also change the way searches are done in the Android Market, bring social media options to the store and implement certain HTML 5 elements. I personally think that the payment system using operators will be the key to success for Google, but first let's see how specifically intends to implement it.

Why does this matter to us? Well the AppStore generates the biggest income for application developers and this is the main reason why some of them still support the rules imposed by Apple. If the Android Market will become at least as attractive, then there are very high chances that some will leave the iOS "boat" and switch to Android.
