An iPhone user spends 84 minutes a day using the applications on his terminal

A recent study done by the company AppSfire reveals some very interesting information about iDevices users and how they use the applications installed in their own devices. The company did the study on 1.000 iDevices that use certain applications that contain the codes of AppSfire advertising banners and the information looks like this:

  • iDevices users prefer native applications instead of web ones;
  • a user spends around 84 minutes daily using the applications on his terminal;
  • a user has on average 108 applications installed in his device, of which 88 are 3rd party;
  • 58% of the applications installed by users are free, 23% paid and 19% native;
  • the normal user spends 32% of the time talking on the phone, 12% of the time browsing, 47% of the time in applications and 9% of the time in the mail application.

Let's not forget that this study was done on only 1.000 terminals in the AppSfire network, so these results do not apply to the vast majority of iDevices users. There are over 100 million terminals available globally and the only way to find out the habits of users is by analyzing this information obtained by advertising companies.
