Alexandrion Group Romania together with the Romanian Police they did the first application for iPhone against the consumption of alcohol while driving, or at least that's what they claim. "Don't drink and drive" is the first iOS (iPhone Operating System) application in the world that sounds an alarm signal against alcohol consumption at the wheel. Launched by Alexandrion Grup Romania together with the Romanian Traffic Police, this application is a car simulator and the difficulty levels represent different levels of blood alcohol. Did you know that, for example, at 0.03 per thousand, you don't appreciate the distances correctly? Imagine what it means to drive in such conditions!... or try the game that is available for free in the App Store.

The "virus" of new technologies related to smartphones is spreading with amazing speed. It's a phenomenon that I think anyone can observe. We aim to bring attention to the aspects related to the fact that driving after drinking even just one glass of beer can radically change the course of your life, both for the person in question and for others.
"Don't drink and drive" is an action at the end of which we want to see that the number of traffic accidents caused by alcohol consumption has decreased. In this way we will be able to contribute more effectively to the road education of drivers and we will try to save as many lives as possible."
Game Description:
The game is played on five levels, represented by the level of alcohol in the blood (0‰, 0,3‰, 0,5‰, 0,8‰ and 1,1‰). The car responds to the driver's commands according to the degree of alcoholism and the effects it has on the human body (delayed reflexes, blurred vision, balance problems, etc.). At the beginning of each level of the application, the related blood alcohol level and the effects produced by the consumption of alcoholic beverages at the wheel are described. Depending on the accident that occurs (hitting a pedestrian, another car, a pole, or buildings) a relevant scene is displayed, as well as a text, in which the statistical data provided by the Romanian Traffic Police are presented with reference to accidents resulting from alcohol consumption. Therefore, the objective of the application is to warn drivers about the consequences of drinking alcohol while driving.
