You all know about the recent rumors about the possibility of launching a smaller iPhone in the summer, all with the idea of stopping the growth that Android has been registering lately. In the video clip above we have one concept video in which it is demonstrated how to attach an iPhone nano with a screen located from one edge to another of the case, but which also has a unique system for closing applications. Instead of the Home button, a new pressure-activated system could be used, that is, squeeze the terminal in your palm and it will close your applications as if you were using a Home button.
The idea seems interesting, but it is unlikely that it will ever be put into practice because it is not ideal to launch a terminal that needs to be "tight" to work. As an aspect, the device looks quite good, perhaps one of the most successful concepts presented so far.
A more intuitive way could be to equip the phone with a pressure-sensitive body. The phone could then be squeezed and the current app would shrink and return the user to the Home screen.
This could be a real wow effect. Seeing how the phone reacts to your grip and then having the app vanish in the palm of your hand.
To avoid 'squeeze to go Home' from happening by accident, a visual cue could show that pressure is being applied. In this concept, the app begins to shrink to reflect the pressure that is being applied. When the pressure goes over a defined threshold, the user is returned to the Home screen.
