iPad 2 with Light Peak technology?

Yesterday I talked to you about Light Peak, a new technology developed by Intel that could be implemented in future Apple products, specifically in MacBooks. That's what we thought until now, but the people from Macrumours are launching one interesting theory by which they try to explain that the Light Peak technology could be implemented in the iPad 2. They refer to certain cases of the iPad 2 that have an opening at the top and Macrumours claims that that opening would correspond to a Light Peak port in the iPad 2. Apparently, the connectors used for the cables manufactured using this technology would look very similar to the USB 3.0 cables, so it would be concluded that the respect port could be for Light Peak.

First, is the presence of a "mystery port" on early iPad 2 case designs from third-party manufacturers. The case designs have been remarkably consistent and seem to be clearly sourced from the same design document. These early design documents aren't perfect (third-generation iPod touch camera being a notable example), but early case designs have generally done a good job predicting upcoming Apple hardware. Some have tried to identify the additional port as a Mini DisplayPort connector.

On the other hand, Macrumours talks about some cases that appeared a long time ago, cases manufactured according to certain documents that are probably no longer current. Personally, I don't think that Apple will implement another way to connect to the iPad than the 30-pin port, even if it has signed a document by which it undertakes to deliver in Europe products compatible with the new charging standards. Unfortunately, iPad 2 has not been presented yet and it is not known when the presentation will take place.
