A few days ago I have you announced that the Dev Team discovered exploits for the 05.14.x and 05.15.x basebands of the iPhone 3G/3GS and that they could use those exploits to develop an unlock solution for these basebands. Today I found out from MuscleNerd that the iPhone 4 unlock solution will unlock any baseband located between 02.10.x and 04.10.x, i.e. those corresponding to iOS 4.1/4.2.1 and possibly 4.3. Following this announcement, MuscleNerd added to his Twitter account saying that the unlock solution for iPhone 4 has priority over the one for iPhone 3G/3GS, so if you have any of the 05.14.x or 05.15.x basebands then you will not be able to unlock them when the iPhone 4 unlock solution is released.
The Dev Team has not specified anything at all about a possible downgrade solution for the 06.15.00 iPad baseband, but they will probably work on it and release it in the near future.
