Apple implemented in iOS 4.3 a new security module called ASLR whose main purpose is to strengthen the security of the operating system and make it difficult to jailbreak or unlock. If for the jailbreak this security module was exceeded, for the unlock it seems that there are still problems that the Dev Team is trying to solve. I received by e-mail part of a conversation on mirc in which it is said that the unlock solution already works on iOS 4.1 and 4.2.1 but it is expected to be modified to work on iOS 4.3 as well but the ASLR causes problems .
The jailbreak solution has priority over the unlock one because without jailbreak there is no unlock and apparently, you will have to wait first for the jailbreak solution released by i0n1c, comex or Chronic Dev Team and only after that will the unlock solution be released . Assuming that that conversation is fake, the Dev Team has always released a jailbreak solution before an unlock solution and I don't see why they would do any different now.
