Last week comex showed us that it can jailbreak the iPad 2 tablet through a video published on the Internet. Last night comex confirmed the rumors but stated that another bootrom exploit was discovered for iPad 2 but did not specify who has it. If the bootrom exploit exists, it could be used not only for the iPad 2 but also for the iPhone 5 if Apple does not implement another version of the bootrom by then. I personally think that this bootrom exploit will be kept until after the release of the iPhone 5 and will only be used then to jailbreak the new terminal.
If comex has a userland exploit, then it could be available only after the release of iOS 4.3.1, which the Dev Team is probably waiting for.
