An iPhone 4 terminal "survives" a fall from 300 meters

Those from iLounge they have a very interesting story about an iPhone 4 terminal that "survived" after falling from a height of no less than 300 meters. The terminal belongs to a parachutist from the USA who deals with the training of cadets from a military unit in the USA and, as you can already imagine, the terminal fell from his coat during a mission. The respective parachutist has the duty to check if the plane is in the correct position in the air before the soldiers jump from it and during a training mission he had the displeasure of "losing" the iPhone 4 terminal in flight that fell from a height of 300 meters.

Can you imagine that the terminal was completely destroyed and was never found? Well, not because that parachutist had the Find My iPhone function activated on the terminal and with its help he located the terminal on the map and went to retrieve it. The device is located approximately 2 miles from the airfield, in a forest where it was blown by the falling wind. The terminal was "equipped" with a Griffin case and a specially mounted metal back to protect it from impacts and it seems that this protection did its job because the terminal was intact, moreover it only had a simple scratch on it. The story seems unbelievable, but the people at iLounge say it's real.

The trees in the forest probably mitigated the fall of the device and if it fell on the back case then that explains why it did not disintegrate, but it is interesting to see how resistant the terminal is considering that many people complain about its fragility.
