The price of iPad 2 in Romania - decent, comparable to the one in the West?

Starting last night a new online store a announced that it brings iPad 2 to Romania, but unfortunately we are talking about the Wi-Fi Only model, which was the only one offered for distribution by stores in Romania. If it is iPad 2 in other countries disposable at very good prices, in Romania the 4 stores that have the iPad 2 on offer have prices that vary between 600 and 800€ for the cheapest model of the iPad 2 tablet. Of course, Apple has not officially launched the iPad 2 in Romania, so we are talking about tablets bought from Apple product retailers and not from the company itself or from an authorized distributor in Romania.

Yesterday I told you that eMAG officially announced the inclusion of the iPad 2 tablet in the offer, but that it is only about the Wi-Fi only model that will be available for delivery only from April 4th. Those at eMAG have thought through the launch and currently have the lowest prices for iPad 2 Wi-Fi only, lower than at PcGarage, PCFun or telefontau.eu (which has the most exaggerated prices of all). At PCGarage and PCFun, the tablet was available at extremely good prices at the beginning, but as the stocks in the USA "evaporated", the price/availability of the tablet also increased, but those who placed orders at the old prices will receive the tablet at the price respectively.

Returning to the topic, you can find the cheapest iPad 2 Wi-Fi only tablets in Romania at eMAG:

The 3G model reaches up to €1000 in the 64GB version, a more than decent price for Romania if we consider that Altex had iPhone 4 for €2500 last summer. Personally, I am pleasantly surprised that eMAG has iPad 2 at such low prices, I was expecting something completely different. Unfortunately, PCGarage started the same way and now sells iPad 2 16 GB for almost €700 and HDMI adapters for $100, so expect these low prices to increase.
