iPad 2 unavailable in Apple stores worldwide

On Friday, iPad 2 was officially launched in 25 countries around the globe, but the Europeans were spoiled by the Apple company considering that 20 of the 25 countries are on the old continent. Hundreds of thousands of people gathered in front of Apple stores to purchase an iPad 2 tablet and by Saturday evening many of the Apple stores had already left without a single tablet in stock. In Great Britain, the entire stock of tablets was sold out in just 24 hours after the launch, some stores selling around 8.000 tablets, but only today was it confirmed that the tablet is unavailable in almost all Apple stores. The tablet can be ordered in the online store, but the delivery is made in 3-4 weeks from placing the order, so there is a long wait.

The good part is that a new stock of tablets will be available starting tomorrow, so if you live in a city where there is an Apple Store then you can go and buy a tablet. It is estimated that Apple would have sold around 1 million tablets until now, but I for one believe that we are talking about a much higher number and if there were no problems with stocks, then the number of units sold would have been at least double.
