On March 2, during the conference for the presentation of the iPad 2, Steve Jobs wanted to specify that no less than 2 applications are available for the iPad/iPad 60.000 tablets, as opposed to only the 100 (which in reality are 17) available for Android Honeycomb. Not even a month has passed since then and over 75.000 applications for iPad/iPad 2 tablets are listed in the AppStore, with almost 16.000 more. Almost 16.000 applications in a month represent an extraordinary achievement for Apple, especially since more and more tablets are starting to appear on the market lately.
Of course, out of the 75.000 available applications, very few are really useful and worth the money, but the number itself matters the most when it comes to marketing. For Romania, there are just under 75.000 applications available, with 1000 or so less than for the US AppStore, but you will not "miss" any unavailable application with us.
