Today marks a year since the iPad tablet was officially launched in the US, a year in which it was the market leader in the tablet segment, a year in which it generated record revenues for Apple, a year in which the industry changed according to the standards imposed by Apple through the iPad. Now, a year later, the iPad 2 is the gadget that all Apple fans want, and tens of thousands of them are currently standing in line in front of Apple stores to purchase a tablet. This year, Apple sold no less than 15 million tablets and the AppStore gathered 75.000 applications for a product that set new standards in the industry.

It's interesting how this year Apple managed to launch the iPad 2 tablet less than 12 months after the launch of the iPad, but rumors are circulating announcing the postponement of the launch of the iPhone 5 even though WWDC will take place earlier than last year. Apple will amaze us, time after time after time.
