Apple interested in developing carbon fiber cases

For a very long time it has been rumored that Apple would produce iDevices or Macs that would have carbon fiber casings, but now the first steps are being taken towards the creation of this type of product because Apple has just hired an expert in working with carbon fiber. Kevin Kenney was president of Kestral Bicycles for more than 14 years, but during this period he also collaborated intensively with the Apple company in matters related to the production of carbon fiber cases. There he is occupies of building carbon fiber bicycle frames, but Apple will more than likely deal with iDevices or Macs built from a solid, lightweight and perhaps more attractive outer shell than the ones now.

Until now, most Apple products have had aluminum or plastic cases, but the company's desire to reduce the weight and thickness of its devices could prove to be the "engine" that will lead to the launch of products with carbon fiber cases on the market. iPad tablets or lighter Macs would be to everyone's liking, but I don't think an iPhone or an iPod Touch would need something like that.
