187 million iDevices sold in 4 years of existence

I told you yesterday that Samsung will not be trampled too easily by the Apple company and that a filed a process by which Apple will be sued for a reply facing accusations of plagiarism. Basically, Samsung accuses Apple of having copied a design of an ancient Samsung terminal, that is, it is a counterattack on the same basis. In the lawsuit, Samsung presented some very interesting information regarding the number of iDevices sold to date. The company claims that by March 2011, Apple would have sold 108 million iPhone terminals, 60 million iPod Touches and 19 million iPad tablets, totaling 187 million iDevices sold in 4 years.

The background section of Apple's complaint has a couple interesting nuggets in it: Apple's sold "over 60 million" iPod touches as of March 2011, which is the first time a specific number has ever been broken out for that device, and we're also told that 108m iPhones and 19m iPads have been sold. What's more, Apple spent more than $2 billion advertising the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad during its fiscal years 2007 to 2010.

Apple has never presented such figures regarding the total sales of iDevices, especially about the iPod Touch which was included in the entire line of iPods. Practically in 4 years, Apple sold 187 million terminals with a touchscreen, the lowest price for such a terminal being approximately $200. I assume that no one from Apple is too happy about the recent revelations and I consider it a not very honorable move on the part of those from Samsung, but of course there is pride in the middle and: everything's fair in love and war.
