In the last few days, we have heard a lot of rumors about the iPhone 5, all of which have at the center a terminal similar to the iPhone 4 but with much more powerful hardware. So far I have had one presentation made by some Vietnamese, by a rumor regarding application developers which tests the iPhone 5 and the host in which we told you that T-Mobile tested iPhone 5. In all these articles we are presented with a white iPhone 4 terminal, with a special version of iOS 4 installed but with an A5 chip inside, so the same hardware as the iPad 2.
Why is it that we are presented with the same white iPhone 4 model everywhere and everyone tells us that the future iPhone will actually be an iPhone 4S and not an iPhone 5 in the true sense of the word? There are 2 approaches regarding a possible answer to this question. The first approach focuses on the explanation that the iPhone 5 will actually be an iPhone 4S because we will see a terminal with the same design as the iPhone 4 but with the A5 chip from the iPad 2. We encountered the situation 2 years ago when the iPhone 3GS was launched on the market in an identical design as the iPhone 3G but with much more powerful hardware.
I base the second approach on the fact that Apple could modify the design of the iPhone terminal considering that the iPhone 4 had so many problems with the antennas and the glass structure. If Apple will do this, then it is more than normal that the testers who now receive iPhone 4 terminals have some prototypes that reveal as little as possible of the way the future device will look. If so, then Apple will surely amaze us when it presents the iPhone 5 and many will be impressed to see a new design.
When will the new iPhone 4S/5 be released? All the rumors indicate a release that will take place in the fall of this year because Apple has not ordered components, has not notified anyone about the release plans, etc. Considering that Apple has already sent prototypes of the new iPhone to its testers, we could say that the launch will take place in the summer of this year. There are almost 2 months until the time when Apple should launch the new iPhone and application developers are already working on special applications for iOS 5 and iPhone 5 and people from mobile phone operators, and not only, are already testing the new iPhone.
Apple would not have sent the new iPhone for testing now if it had planned its launch in almost half a year. My opinion is that we will see an iPhone 5 in the summer considering that some are already testing its prototypes.
